Rosslyn Chapel

Monday 20th May 2024 Rosslyn Chapel is normally not lit after sunset.

I took a strong hand torch and set up my camera on a tripod. I set camera to take a 30 seconds exposure in darkness. During the 30 seconds I used the hand torch and shone it evenly on the walls of Rosslyn Chapel. Idea was to paint light onto the walls for the camera to register.

I am pleased with the resulting image. See the darkness image without the light painting. Also one I took before sunset.

Rosslyn Chapel staff liked my image and invited me back. This time with the interior lights on to illuminate the stain glass windows in the Chapel. It really worked so well. See the images with stain glass windows lit.
