Possibles for ARPS Assessment Panel

On 8th December 2021 I was awarded the Royal Photographic Society Distinction of a Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society (LRPS).

I am now going for an assessment panel day for the next level. An Associate of The Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
I have applied for a 2024 ARPS Assessment panel date.

I will have to supply a high standard of work/project. Also a statement of intent. Using 15 images.

I am going for Landscapes. "Man Made Scotland by Night "

After a 1:1 with John Miskelly FRPS, I have dropped a few of the original images I opted for. I have also made edits to others as John suggested.
So far I have maybe 15 possibles and five reserves. I will have to select an order to use the final images. Also a Presentation Layout. I am thinking of three, five, seven images.

ARPS Assessment

My aim is to offer a selection of landscape images with a common theme of “Man Made Scotland by Night”.
Presenting each image in traditional landscape format, within a three row panel.
Scottish landscape night photography can be challenging but so rewarding . Throw in the added excitement of standing behind a camera in at times almost total darkness.

Night photography can be difficult, but as mentioned the rewards are there and I love the blue hour after sunset.

Watching weather and tidal forecasts are so important. Both for safety and optimum photographic opportunities. The photographs were taken on unaccompanied outings.

Each image is in full colour. All include man made subjects, mostly during the blue hour.

My aim and objective is to allow the array of night colours to be witnessed along with the beauty of Scotland at it’s fullest.
