Wednesday 24th January 2024 The Barrowland Ballroom is an entertainment venue, dance hall and music venue located in the Calton district in Glasgow, Scotland.
On event evenings the Barrowland neon sign is lit. It starts unlit and every 30 seconds or so the entire sign is lit bit by bit. It was all about timing the photos to have the whole sign lit.
I have had it in mind to visit and photograph the sign. I got there. It was thrilling to turn the corner in my car and see that the sign was lit.
The rain came and then stayed off. Gave nice colours on the wet road. Here are four images I captured. The concert ticket holders were lining up for the doors to open. |
