Joe Gilhooley LRPS   Bird Gardens Scotland at Oxton   Wednesday 15th May 2024. Bird Gardens Scotland is home to many species of birds. It on at Oxton in The Scottish Borders just off the A68 road to Lauder and after Soutra as you travel south. This was my second visit and I have to say that I really enjoyed photographing the many birds. As a bonus, the Wallaby with a Joey. The Emu has three chicks running about the fenced area. I really enjoyed photographing the beautiful Scarlet Ibis from Australia. Keep in mind that some of the images here were taken through the aviary fencing. I got near the fences and used a wide aperture. That tends to help make the fences vanish to the camera.
