| Wednesday 15th May 2024 34 images from a fantastic morning on Wed 15th May in Ron McCombe Wildlife Photography bird hide in Scottish Borders.
There with my two friends Marilyn Young and Jimmy Dunn.
We photographed coming in to feed at the hide, Blue Tits, Starlings, Male and Female Siskins, Male and Female Great Spotted Woodpeckers (my favourite), Male and Female Chaffinches, Sparrows , a Wren, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Collared Doves, Goldfiches and a Nuthatch.
I got a cracker of a female Siskin at reflection pool with a lovely reflection.
You should book the hide if you enjoy photography. Hide is heated, comfy chairs. Birds come very near. You walk 10 metres from where you park.
Canon Camera 1DX MK II , Canon EF 400mm f2.8L IS III USM Lens with Canon 1.4 Mk III extender fitted. f4, shutter speed 1/1600, ISO 1600. Lighting was great. |
