Saturday 15th June 2024. I booked a place on a Big Cats Photography Morning at Five Sisters Zoo, West Lothian.
Terrific experience. We got in before the Zoo opened and inside the fences that keep the public back. Right up to the fences that keep the Big Cats in their enclosures.
We photographed Two Lions, then Clouded Leopards. Then Chettahs. Last was the Snow Leopard.
The keepers put meat in the enclosures and this encouraged the Big Cats to come near. They knew Gary the keeper well and went near him.
Keep in mind I was photographing through fences, or glass. When I got the 70-200 lens at full length it helped make the fences almost vanish in my images.
All 30 images are uncropped as from camera. We got very near.
Well worth booking this Big Cats Photography Experience. We took photos over a 90 minutes period. Done and homewards after a breakfast roll, provided by the staff.
