Joe Gilhooley - Winner of The Scots Magazine Photographer of the Year 2017 & 2019 |
|
In January 2017 I entered my Loch Rusky Sunrise image into The Scots Magazine Photographer of the Year 2017.
I was delighted to make the last 15 in the competition, which was then opened to text voting in the May edition. I was up against a few wonderful entries.
Imagine my delight when in late May 2017 I received information that I had won The Scots Magazine Photographer of the Year 2017.
I was presented with a lovely trophy, a canvas print of my winning image, which now sits in pride of place in our livingroom.
My pleasure was complete when the magazine used my winning image as the cover of the July 2017 edition. To see it on shelves in newsagents was just wonderful.
In January 2019 I again entered The Scots Magazine Photographer of the Year with my The Kelpies Sunset. My second time entering the competition. In mid May 2019 I was delighted to learn that I had again won the title.
I have created another page as I am now enjoying entering Photography Competitions. |
