Joe Gilhooley LRPS   Puffins Isle of May   Monday 20th June 2022. I took a boat trip from Anstruther, Fife, to The Isle of May in the Firth of Forth with two friends. Plan was to photograph Puffins and other seabirds. You have to book it weeks in advance as it a very popular trip. It was a super day photographing Puffins . Many have Sandeels in their beaks and taking them back to young in their burrows. I used my Canon 1dx MkII Camera with the Canon EF 400mm f2.8L IS III USM Lens attached with a Canon 1.4 Mk III extender (Convertor) on camera. That took the focal length to 560mm. Monopod to keep lens and camera steady. Over 50 images of Puffins on this page. I have another album with Puffins in flight. That photography was very difficult.
